Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway!

I have been interested in finding great products that are environmentally safe, I have recently found Seventh Generation. I had been hearing some buzz about them online, but didn't know how they would do compared to my other products! Let's just say I am happy! Meghan from Seventh Generation let me pick out a kit to review and giveaway, I decided to try their Healthy Home Kit. I love spring cleaning, and I love a fresh cleaned smell that comes with this time of year! I also love that I can feel so much better knowing that I am using products that are safe for the environment and for my family! Not only are they safe but they are just as effective too!

Healthy Home Starter Kit
Disinfecting Multi-Surface (Lemongrass & Thyme)
Disinfecting Bathroom (Lemongrass & Thyme)
Disinfecting Wipes - 35 ct. (Lemongrass and Thyme)
All-Purpose - Free & Clear
Glass - Free & Clear
Shower - Green Mandarin & Leaf
Toilet - Emerald Cypress & Fir
Tub & Tile - Emerald Cypress & Fir
Natural Paper Towels
Seventh Gen Recycled Bag

All of Seventh Generation's products are non-toxic and biodegradable, hypo-allergenic, they aren't tested on animals, and they are also kosher-certified. Seventh Generation discloses all of their product ingredients on their website, and all of their paper products are comprised of 100% recycled paper.

I have been using the Seventh Generation cleaning products for the past two weeks and already I'm thoroughly impressed. The products pack a serious cleaning punch, while not leaving our home laden with the typical chemical-heavy post-cleaning smells. I don't have to worry if Andrew has followed me into the bathroom as I am cleaning, and I have discovered that Chip and I like certain scents, they are all great but I love the Green Mandarin & Leaf and the Emerald Cypress & Fir. To put it simply: I'm a believer, and I think you will be too as soon as you try some of their products.
I love the disinfecting multi-surface cleaner! I have used it on my floors, my refrigerator, to clean the sink (my quick swipe-Fly Lady), and to wipe down walls (removed crayon!). So, I have been able to test it out daily all over my home and I haven't been disappointed! I even used it to clean up red juice that was spilled on my white kitchen counter top and it cleaned right up with no staining, I normally use bleach to get those stains up on my counter top.
The only thing out of the kit that I am not sure I would purchase in bulk would be the natural paper towels. I don't use a lot of paper towels because I use towels, but when testing out the paper towels I noticed that they didn't last as long a roll I normally buy. Although the ones I buy are not eco-friendly. I was still happy with the product, but that is the only negative thing I noticed about the paper towels.

Seventh Generation is giving you the same kit I received!

I make sure there is a bag to collect paper waste on all levels of our house. If the bag is there, more paper gets recycled and less goes into the garbage.

Hi to all!! My children and I use our reusable bags when we go grocery shopping. We recycle every week, which my son enjoys. We walk to the store when we can to cut down on pollution (although i cant figure out why my lbs have not come off lol)! We just joined seventh generation on facebook. And my children and i are going to be making plants of vegtables this summer, they are so excited, we just bought our stuff last night!! :)

I fully intend to make some bags for my kids' lunches for next year (sometime over the summer). Our family has also made a pact to recycle as much as we possibly can this year... it's going well. :)

We recycle, and are very conservative with our use of water and electricity.

We recycle everything we can. We planted a number of things in a garden this year, and my daughter's class participated in a community garden. I also re-use clothing for fabric to make something else.

My family has definitely started using the resusable shopping bags to cut down on plastic bags.

I try not to take plastic bags from stores and when I have to, I reuse the bags as many times as possible and then use them for the trash can.

I also reuse cardboard boxes and when send out to someone else, write on them "Please reuse and/or recycle".

We use reusable bags, recycle, try to by "green" products when possible, and try to conserve water. I know there is a lot more that we could be doing!

I finally got my husband to start using the reusable bags when he does the shopping!
We installed a filter on our sink and don't buy bottled water anymore.
We have cut down on our use of papertowels and paper napkins.
we try to buy more food that is locally produced.

To be greener, we cloth diaper (w/cloth wipes), use reusable bags at the store, bathe the kiddos together to limit water use, and are about to start using unpaper towels. =)

I use paper recycling both at work and at home, we try and purchase local produce as much as possible to cut down on the transport impact environmentally.
